Product Spotlight with Rob Almanza
iChime - The "Play Anything" Doorbell
I never thought I’d be spot-lighting a doorbell on the show, but I am because this is has got to be the COOLEST one ever! iChime – The “Play Anything” Doorbell – replaces your existing wired door chime, playing different sounds every time the doorbell rings. If you get tired of your doorbell sound, you have many more to choose from or get creative and make your own. We do that already with our cell phones, why not with our doorbell? Plus, you don’t have to pay anything for them.
The iChime comes pre-loaded with many different tunes in 6 different categories: Chimes, Holiday (like Christmas Tunes), Halloween, Favorites, Fun Sounds and Special Occasions. Each category contains several popular sounds plus one that you can record yourself. My personal favorite is this one under “Fun Sounds” called “Ding-A-Ling”. You can sample all tunes at the iChime website.
There is a switch you flip to go to user mode and record your own announcement. You get a total of 60 seconds for personal recordings, so you can record a 10-second message under each category. It’s up to you how you want to use your 60-seconds.
Installation is pretty easy I think. Chris Graveline installed it for us because he’s the only mechanical person around and we love him for it! Now, we have to decide what tunes to play.
You can “chime” one of these for about 90 bucks.
