T-Mobile Sidekick with Customizable Shells

T-Mobile Sidekick

Many of us like to have our phones stand-out and be noticed. The new T-Mobile Sidekick is shipped with two shells that are easily changed.
You can have a bright, green or black shell (both shipped with the unit). You can also mix both. The coolest option is to create your own online.
Check out sidekickshells.com. You can upload images from your computer or photo sharing sites like facebook, flickr, or snapfish. Then, adjust the
image to proper size or for the look your going for both front and back of the phone. They also have an option where you can buy a blank shell,
which are unfinished so you can use your creativity at home with your own paint, pens, stickers or other materials. It will cost you 15 bucks,
which is not bad for creating your own art.

We also have to talk about some of the features. Web browsing has been improved, it captures and plays video, has picture messaging
(2 MP camera by the way), Stereo Bluetooth technology, and of course, Email. The sidekick supports IM clients like AIM, Windows Live Messenger,
and Yahoo! You have a pretty good set of options there.

One of the things we’re not too happy with is the keyboard. You have to push hard and to me, it felt a bit uncomfortable typing. It may be because
I’m used to the virtual keyboard on my phone. Also, it’s on the EDGE network so downloading ringtones and other extras was … v-e-r-y … s-l-o-w! In fact,
I found it slower than the iPhone on the AT&T network. I had trouble connecting sometimes and texts would not go out at times here in Miami – even with
full signal strength.

Overall, it’s a cool phone for teens, being that it’s known for texting and instant messaging. You can get your hands on the new Sidekick for under $150.
