Meet Peek on this week’s “Into Tomorrow” Product Spotlight with Rob Almanza. Peek takes
your email on-the-go. That’s pretty much it! Also featuring: This Week In Tech History.

Peek is an email-checking dedicated device on-the-go. After some initial set-up, it connects to a national network to download your email.
Just enter your email address and password, and it’s ready to download your messages. That’s pretty simple to do. With Peek,
you can
check your Gmail, Yahoo, AOL and Hotmail email accounts wherever you are as long as there’s a good
connection
with the
network.
At
the
moment, they don’t support Exchange-based email, but they’re working on it. It can support up to 3 accounts
at a
time, which is what we have on our device. You can check their website to see if Peek is compatible with your email client.
Peek is strictly for email checking. It’s good as an entry-level device. Keep in mind you’ll have to carry Peek in addition to your
cell phone or whatever otherdevices you carry. It’s geared to those who would rather not use a smartphone.
Design-wise we like the screen and the device itself is pretty sleek. There’s an envelope on the top-left corner that emits a blue light whenever
you receive new mail. You can have Peek vibrate and/or ring along with the blue light. I found the keyboard to be a bit hard to type on. You have
to push hard on the keys. Also, the scroll wheel on the side doesn’t respond as fast as I’d like it to. Email does take a bit of time to arrive,
depending on your email provider. Peek checks for new emails every 5-15 minutes.
You can get your hands on one for $99. On top of that, there’s a $19.95 monthly fee with no contract. Check it out here.
